LETTER: Disgust over lack of bowling green

I am absolutely disgusted with Horsham District Council’s decision not to include an indoor bowling green in the proposed new leisure centre to be built on the existing Horsham District Indoor Bowls Club site in Broadbridge Heath.

Two years ago the bowls club were in advanced negotiations with HDC to include such a green. At that stage there was no indication that bowls would not be included at all.

This short notice about turn is totally unacceptable. This not only affects the members of HDIBC but also the blind and disabled organisations that make regular use of the bowls facilities.

The members of HDIBC intend to challenge this decision.

How? That is for us to know.

Residents of Horsham take note, your district council cannot be trusted. Please support HDIBC any way you can.

Local council elections are due to be held in the near future, consider your options very carefully.
