LETTER: Friends and social life will be lost
I have been a member of the club since it opened, now I hear it is to close or moved to four rinks in the sports centre. Where it will no longer be a club as we have now. It will mean a lot of people will lose their friends, exercise, social life.
We do not only play bowls, but also play bridge, and meet up with players from other parts of Sussex. Horsham District Council has let us down very badly.
On the radio the other day it was said more people than ever are lonely. Well if the bowls club closes 400 more will be too, as well as getting obese.
Itis a well known fact that we are an ageing population, so what are we to do, keep going to the doctors, or the library for company?
