LETTER: Fundamental to our democracy
The coincidence between Ed Miliband’s spat with The Mail and Thursday’s Commons Committee meeting on Press regulation, is indeed worrying.
Those in politics, must surely be able to suspend their own self interest and emotions, when dealing with matters fundamental to our democracy.
So we should watch closely on Thursday to distinguish between those who will fight for the freedom of our Press and any who might be seeking revenge, on behalf of their leader.
Let us hope that members of the committee will be big enough for the job.
