My late Father, H A Stevens - known as Bert or Steve to his family and friends- wrote a collection of humorous, anecdotal stories of his childhood growing up in Stockwell, and the surrounding area with his brothers and school friends, following the first World War.

He later moved to Crawley, West Sussex, with his wife Pat, after the firm he worked for, Stone Platt, relocated there.

There are probably still some people living around the Brixton and Crawley areas who would remember my parents, and some of the inventions my father wrote about.
