LETTER: Traffic wardens is the first step

Before thinking of a multi-storey car park, a simpler option would be to employ a traffic warden.

At the moment, drivers are parking for long periods, sometimes all day.

There is no point marking out loading bays, disabled bays, etc. if there is no-one to enforce the restrictions.

The council must get to grips with this problem, or more shops will close.
