Logo launches gardening event

An eye-catching logo launches a special event on The Forum on Saturday 7 June called “Simply Gardening” – a new initiative from Horsham in Bloom (HIB) which will showcase many aspects from the broad spectrum of gardening in the local community.

The prize-winning logo was designed by Ceri Fitzgerald who spotted the ‘Simply Gardening’ logo competition on the Horsham Facebook page.

Reacting to the news of her success Ceri commented: “I hoped I could contribute an entry that gives a fresh and modern edge to this event.

“I am over the moon to have won the competition and looking forward to receiving my prize at the opening of the event on 7 June as well as to meeting the rest of the In Bloom team.”

The competition judges were impressed by Ceri’s design which they felt conveyed a clear message by the clever use of the lettering and the tree design contributing to spelling out the name of the event – ‘Simply Gardening’.

Sue Brundish, Chairman of Horsham in Bloom, said: “The Horsham in Bloom team is delighted with Ceri’s design. We look forward to seeing it displayed on all the promotional material for the 7 June event.”

On 7 June we will present gardening in its many forms and show how it can keep you fit and healthy, give you a new interest in life and help you make friends.
