‘More ‘green’ politicians needed in power – your vote can make a difference’

Reading the constant flow of letters about Rookwood, if we want to protect nature and our green spaces, we need more ‘green’ politicians in power.

Jeremy Quin MP has never ever voted to support a pro-nature bill. Mr Quin does not appear interested in local issues that effect our environment and quality of life.

So if you’re not quite ready yet to join the Rainbow Warrior or Extinction Rebellion, being an armchair activist is very simple.

In May we have a chance to vote with our convictions in the West Sussex County Council elections. If we vote for a party out of habit, not really questioning the reality of the impact that vote is likely to have, who can we complain to when nothing changes?

We have three months or so to find out.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking your vote (or more importantly your lack of vote) won’t make a difference. It did to Europe. It did to the USA. It will do to West Sussex.
