National Figure Skating win

Year 8 pupil Katerina Poulios balances her school life at Christ’s Hospital alongside her love of ice skating and desire to become an international figure skater. She has an exceptional talent and since joining Christ’s Hospital in September 2012 has continued to make great strides with her ice skating and continues to train at Guildford three times a week.

During the Easter holiday Katerina travelled to Athens, where she competed in the Greek National Figure Skating Championships and was placed 1st.

It was her first time competing at such a high level and with a new and dynamic program. She was delighted when she surpassed all expectations!

Director of Sport at Christ’s Hospital, David Messenger is most impressed with Katerina, he recently commented: “Not only is she talented and dedicated to her skating, Katerina is a great all-rounder in all aspects of school life”, he added: “The School is very proud of her success, and we look forward to watching her career develop.”
