No danger of flooding - so is this an example of companies' greed?

I WAS somewhat surprised to read your front page story, "Insurance cancelled" (September 10).

My wife and I have lived at Climping Park for the last nine years and we have had no problems regarding home insurance.

At the exhibition in Climping Village Hall concerning potential flood problems, my wife half-jokingly asked when she should buy a pair of waders and the person she spoke to smiled and said "never", and that

Climping Park was in no danger of flooding.

So what grasping little plot are the insurance companies hatching now?

At the not very tender age of 74, I get more than a little hacked off with companies' greed and total lack of integrity.

An example that springs to mind is seeing ordinary 60w light bulbs being advertised at 99p each in the window of an electrical shop in Worthing.
