Open your mind to technology, John

I READ John Beck’s letter (World’s Best Brain - December 10) with amusement and dismay.

Until last year I would have agreed with his sentiment, but have since then discovered the possibilities afforded by new technology.

I haven’t experienced the X-Box or had a Wii recently(!), but email and the internet have changed my life.

I am now more in touch with my friends, family and community as a result of owning an “electric computer” than ever before and I urge you John to give it a go.

As composer Sir Arnold Bax is credited with saying “You should make a point of trying every experience once, excepting incest and Morris dancing”.
