Perfect weather for beach party

The children had been looking forward to the event for weeks, as food, fun and laughter (and plenty of water) is the order of the day! The weather for the first time in several years was just perfect!

The children and staff began with a buffet style lunch with food chosen by the children, both healthy and unhealthy! And with the odd peculiar combinations as children’s requests were granted! Then it was into swimming costumes for the children for the biggest and best, old fashioned water fight you can ever imagine.

Staff and children alike squealed and ran about with water squirters of varying sizes and jumped into, and out of the paddling pools and the giant inflatable ‘pool’ which had been set up for the afternoon.

Although a warm and sunny afternoon buckets of lovely warm water were most welcome as pools were topped up, as even the quietest of children changed personality behind a water squirter!

Staff and children then changed into dry clothes and the children were presented with a leaver’s book and cake pop before going home. A commemorative DVD will also be on its’ way soon.
