Plans tsunami

I have always believed that we need large scale housing provision to address the housing crisis in Arun district and that the best way to achieve this is in the form of a new settlement on brownfield land at Ford Airfield.

This still remains possible.

Instead, at the moment, we have an absolute tsunami of planning applications in every community across the district. This ‘pepper pot’ style of planning can and should have been foreseen and it is no use local politicians pretending that they were not aware of this eventuality. They were. Are we now reaping the benefits of poor political leadership?
