Record numbers attend garden trail

The glorious weather saw record numbers of people attend the Fittleworth Garden Trail on Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May.

The Trail, as well as opening the gardens, gave visitors a chance to explore the picturesque village of Fittleworth.

Over 100 homemade lunches and 140 cups of tea were served by Fittleworth Playgroup over the weekend. Lydia Styles, Committee Member said: “Our customers enjoyed a healthy Ploughman’s or Homemade Quiche lunch in the sunshine and, we managed to raise just over £320.00 for Playgroup.”

We had kind sponsorships from A C Coughtreys Butchers in Pulborough, Sainsburys Pulborough, Topflush Sussex Mobile Toilet Hire and also Barn Kitchen Catering in Wisborough Green.

All proceeds have been donated to Fittleworth Playgroup & Baby Room, a charity-run Playgroup for children aged 3-months to 5 years-old. For more information see www.fittleworthplaygroup.co.uk or, call 01798 865777.
