Road annoyance

THE A259 is a major through road in the Rustington, East Preston, Ferring and Angmering area, but no effort at all is being made to ensure that traffic flows easily without hold-ups.

Why are the road works in Ferring, outside the new ASDA, being allowed to take so long? They are causing inconvenience and annoyance to thousands of road users.

When the garden centre, now known as Haskins, was first built it had an exit onto Roundstone Lane. Why is it now allowed to cause hold-ups on the main road?

Why does Haskins not have a slip road into its main entrance?

Why is there no right turn provision at the north end of Angmering onto the by-pass, meaning that access to the A259 for everybody living in Angmering is through the dangerous pinch points in the village?

Finally, when is the section of road between Station Road, Angmering, and the new Angmering by-pass going to be made into a much-needed dual carriageway?

Will the whole area have to be totally grid locked before any action is taken.

Perhaps somebody from Arun District and West Sussex Councils would like to comment.
