Self-service coming
YOUR correspondent Mike Dunne said in a letter (Gazette, November 17) that Littlehampton Library would be closed for the whole of December as “part of further cuts by the county council”.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The library is closing from Friday, December 2, to Tuesday, January 3, so a self-service system can be installed. When the library reopens, users will find the service quicker and easier to use.
In fact, it is part of an investment programme to modernise our libraries, and I welcome the opportunity to reiterate the county council’s commitment to keep all libraries open.
