It’s how she would want to be remembered as she was so proud of Bexhill and its residents, proud of being given the role of mayor, which she embraced working hard on behalf of all residents.
She was deeply sorry that she couldn’t complete her full term as mayor owing to the diagnosis of cancer.

It was these quite harrowing descriptions which really showed Frances’ remarkable qualities: humour, courage and optimism.
Through all the pain and discomfort she still managed to make one laugh with throwaway lines and always end on a positive note.
Frances’ untimely death is a great loss and we wish Andrew, her husband, and all the family our heartfelt condolences.
