Steyning High Street plague commemorates historic wedding

Thank you for the fascinating article in last week's Herald on Charles Parnell and Kitty O'Shea.

Readers might like to know that there is a plaque in High Street Steyning, commemorating their marriage in, what was then, the Registry Office, having been refused a church wedding, in June 1891.
