Through your excellent local paper I would like to thank all those who came to my coffee morning on Friday, to raise funds for the NSPCC.

It is getting bigger each this year and this time raised £1,440 on the day, with more donations still coming in. This amount of money is enough to finance 300 Childline calls. Over the Christmas and New Year period last year, there were 2,000 calls to Childline from some very unhappy children. The NSPCC works to make life safe and happy for those who cannot change life themselves.

Our committee’s next fund-raiser is a Christmas market, with Father Christmas, on Saturday, November 30, in Ferring Village Hall, from 10am-noon. All are welcome.
