We must thank all the people who contributed to make this total possible and the many volunteers who stood outside supermarkets in the wind and rain.

A special mention is to Mr and Mrs Warner, who stood at Tesco for one week and collected £3,876, and to the Army Cadets, who collected in the streets a total of £581.

We have an excellent team of people who come every year to count the money from the poppy tins and their contribution is greatly appreciated.

The total raised outside supermarkets is Sainsbury’s £2,762, Co-op £669 and Tesco £3,876.
