Thanks to diabetes runners

I am writing to congratulate all your readers who recently completed the London marathon and to say thank you to those who ran to raise money for Diabetes UK.

The whole day was a huge success with almost 40,000 people finishing the marathon, including 150 people who were running for the charity which cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of all people affected by diabetes. The course passed through some of the capital’s most iconic sights including the Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye and The Mall and Diabetes UK supporters were out in full force at mile 12 and 24 to cheer on the runners.

All the money that our runners have raised from the London marathon will help us make life better for the 3.8 million people with diabetes. It will go a long way to help us improve services in the local area for people diagnosed with the condition, as well as helping us to find those who have Type 2 but do not know they have it.
