Tireless efforts
ON behalf of East Preston Parish Council I would like to publicly thank councillor Celeste Amoo for her considerable contribution to the organisation and management of the half-term playscheme that the Gazette so kindly featured in the March 3 edition.
The scheme was developed from an idea of Mrs Amoo’s
She has worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this year’s scheme – from publicising to buying the exotic fruits that were so enjoyed by the children.
This is the second year of the project, and the council is pleased that numbers of children attending were up on last year.

Hide AdThe council has received a lot of very positive feedback from children, parents and grandparents alike and I would like whatever councillors are in place after May to decide to continue with this scheme, which shows the most direct commitment by this council to the very young of the village.
