Treasure chest of activities at pirate-themed summer fete

Bring your crew along to this pirate themed summer fete and enjoy a treasure chest of activities including a ‘shoot’ your favourite pirate photography competition, eco art making, samba workshops and plenty of games to keep your pesky pirates amused.

A prize awaits the best dressed pirates be they adult or child.

The Pirates of Coolham summer fete is packed with merriment for all the family including traditional stalls and more unusual ‘have a go’ activities.

Learn to beat the drums and make great music at a Samba workshop, or master some new photography skills courtesy of Alan Wright Photography who will also be running a ‘shoot your favourite pirate’ competition.

Children are invited to bring in or make on the day models made from recycled materials as part of the Eco Arty Crafty Fun competition, winners will then be entered into the Billingshurst Carnival.

There is plenty to keep smaller pirates amused all afternoon including a bouncy castle and face painting, plus pocket money stalls.

Parents are also encouraged to bring some bags of gold to buy tickets for fab raffle prizes including the chance to win a barrow of booze or pluck a glittering prize from the Tree of Fortune. There is also a superb Grand Draw with the chance to win a Spa Day, Boden gift vouchers and a meal for two at Sumners Ponds.

Stay at the fete and mingle with fellow pirates for lunch or an early pirate supper with hearty refreshments including a delicious hog roast, BBQ, homemade cakes and grog. Taking place at William Penn Primary School, Brooks Green Road, Coolham, The Pirates of Coolham summer fete depends on the support of the whole community, please come along and join in the merry mayhem from 12pm-4:30pm with free entrance for children and adult admission priced at £1.
