Volunteers upset as repeated thefts from charity shops deprive donations

WHY do people steal from charity shops?

Firstly, they are depriving the shop of the money for the charity and secondly depriving the person who kindly donated the item of their opportunity to give money through their donation.

I work in dizzy in East Preston and I only hope the person who receives the glass perfume bottle will realise it wasn't bought but stolen!

Shoplifters are crafty people, removing one sticker of a smaller price and sticking it over the one for a higher price.

They even manage to change price tickets on clothes which are stapled on.

It really upsets us all because most of us work on a voluntary basis.

Why do they do it?
