Well attended parade in Billingshurst

Billingshurst’s Remembrance Day Parade was well attended with youth organisations,Scouts,Guides,Brownies,Beavers,Rainbows and there was a detachment of Sea Cadets from TS Glory.

Billingshurst Lions provided the cd music for the parade to march to the village War Memorial, which was again well attended by the residents.

After the short service and wreath laying the at the War Memorial,the parade and residents moved into St Mary’s Church for the main Remembrance Service and again the church was full with standing room only.

After the church service,the parade formed up and marched down the High Street to The Billingshurst Community Centre where the parade was dismissed.

In the evening the Billingshurst Branch of The Royal British Legion held a Remembrance Day Songs of Praise in the United Reform Church which was well attended and after the service light refreshments were available in the Church Hall.
