What now for site?

I AM sorry that the planned Littlehampton Hospital has been given the final no-no.

Now, what to do with the unsightly site?

I live on the second floor of a block of flats nearby, and my view to the left is of the empty site, overgrown with dead bushes, and surrounded by that awful, tatty, bright blue fence.

Visitors to Littlehampton in the months to come, will be put off by this site as it stands, and we, the locals, hate it.

The attractive and expensive retirement complex and lovely houses opposite, and the medical centre next to it, all wish it would go away now.

It smacks of neglect and poverty, and brings the area down.

May I suggest that the fence is taken down, the site cleared and the piece of land planted with a lawn and flower beds?

Clearing, planting and maintaining the site could be done by volunteers, or be taken on by those that owe this community a service!

Please don’t let it stay that way for another five years.
