Wheely grateful for help
I would like to thank the gentleman who kindly helped me out when the spare wheel dropped out of its cage from my car on Thursday, May 9, as I drove along Station Road, Rustington.
Thanks to your effort, I managed to get home safely. My husband then took the car to the garage in the afternoon. The mechanic said you had made a good job of the temporary repair.
He also said he is seeing more of this type of thing recently. Usually the tyre has been stolen, only to be sold at a market. Apparently, in my case, the bolt had been loosened but the prospective thief had been disturbed before completing the theft.
Thank you once again for your kindness. In return, I have given a donation to Macmillan nurses, from a very grateful elderly lady driver.
