Walking through Bexhill after spending an extensive length of time parking lawfully, I found myself counting the regular ways in which people abandon their cars around the town without any apparent come-back.

It’s not great literature, or even well-rhymed but please find a poem that some of your readers may agree with:

Welcome to Bexhill

There’s some signage I’ve been looking for, perhaps you can help me track it down?

It’s the one that says ‘Bexhill welcomes you, to double park around our town’.

While we’re at it we could go in search, of the sign that states ‘no matter what the digit, Bexhill’s signs should not be taken literally there is no speeding limit’.

A zebra crossing is just there to underline an area for your bonnet,

And you are welcome to find that line, and park your car upon it.

It’s accompanied by one that says, ‘Double yellow lines just don’t pull rank,

And please feel free to randomly stop, if you need to use the bank’.

It could be that there are such signs, or maybe people‘s daring has increased, Because it’s widely understood that Bexhill has neither traffic wardens nor police.
