SOUTH MALLING SCHOOL: Well done to our amazing Year 6 swimmers who participated in the Lewes Schools Swimming Gala on March 7 at Ringmer pool. Racing against eight other schools, the competition was tough. However, with grit and professionalism, the South Malling Team put in a fantastic performance and finished in third place. The children were awarded their bronze medals in Stars Assembly. Congratulations to Iford and Kingston School, who were overall winners. Also a big thank you Mrs Harley and Mrs Poulter for their help on the day.

TRINITY SOUTH MALLING: (Parish Church).Morning Praise is the service this coming Sunday, beginning at 9.30am as usual. It will be led by the associate Vicar, Revd Jeremy Bamber and the music, (contemporary) led by Martin Dyer. Children are taught separately after the first song or so. All are welcome.

RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION: Following Cllr John Lamb’s report on the completion of the Malling Community Centre, in the last edition, respondents are cautiously positive. The main concern to come forward is cost for use. One member warns that, with Wave, it must continue to be affordable for current users and that future activities should meet their needs. John Lamb says that rates had not yet been discussed but expects them to be similar to similar local facilities, such as Wivelsfield.
