‘Our country’s future is sitting in our classrooms’ and prospects look grim

The article on budget cuts that are pushing local schools to the brink, made grim reading.

It is all the more galling in Lewes, where we see the sites of schools like the Pells & St Annes sinking into dereliction years after the schools have closed.

Our country’s future is sitting in our classrooms – and currently their prospects are not good.
