Counter argument to Mr Barry Jones’ letter –’Dread opening of a shared route’.

The park needs using more not less. As a disabled rider, I don’t ride down St Helens Road on my way home, I ride illegally but safe on the pavement.

My son learned to ride in the park, as lots of Hastings children have.

Perhaps you could publish the number of killed and injured dogs, children and old people on the shared seafront route since it has been open. Set against RTA’s for pedestrians and cyclist in Hastings (and dogs) in the same period.
