Poles apart on advertising

WHY did the council replace two of the continental-type advertising drums that stood on the pavement with two drums perched on the top of a pole?

Are they for advertising events, etc., and if so, when is it going to happen?

If not, what a waste of our council taxes.

Two trees would have been a much better idea.

It seems there is not enough advertising to put into the two existing drums as one of them is still advertising the Birdman event way back in August.

An ill-thought out project because as it stands at present they look positively ridiculous.
