Snow won't bring back Worthing's shoppers

It's Snow joke! Is the town centre manager Sharon Clarke in the right job?

Personally, I think she hasn't a clue if she describes the "invitation only" phone company's snow event, pictured below, as a community event, whom is she kidding?

In reality it's only for a relative few users of a particular mobile phone manufacturer who voted for this event and nothing to do with the "real Worthing community".

It is probably a strategy by other towns to stifle still further Worthing's town centre, as was proved by the diversion set-up in Steyne Gardens restricting right turns along the A259.

I'm sorry, but the morons who approved this should be sacked immediately!

Was any consideration given to the cost and inconvenience to the Worthing residents who had the misery of this unnecessary diversion to allow the preparations for the privileged few.

The A259 at Worthing has suffered from horrendous commuter delays and inconvenience over the last couple of years, with various so-called road improvement schemes, road works and gas pipe replacements, please give us a break.

I would urge that more consideration be given to residents and visitors to be able to navigate safely into and through Worthing town centre, both to improve, encourage and promote Worthing as a town worth visiting and not a destination to be avoid,ed.

I would encourage that more emphasis is required to get rid of NCP, reduce parking charges, build an Olympic size swimming pool to be proud of and really promote Worthing as a town of business, shopping and leisure, as the town signs indicate, or should we reword the signs Worthing a centre for congestion, empty shops and lethargy?
