Thanks to all who took part in charity golf day

Through your newspaper, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who played in our recent charity golf day at Willingdon Golf Club.

On one of the wettest days of the year, 15 teams of four went out in the pouring rain to play in a Texas scramble.

Over £1,800 was raised for the care of local 17 year old Tilly Parrott, who suffers from Moebius Syndrome.

Me and my daughter Abby have put on a number of charity events this year, and we are so grateful to so many local companies and businesses who have been incredibly generous in supporting us – especially Bob Bremer, chairman of Sussex Cars, Andy and his team at Plan Ahead, Visick Cars, BM Hepburn Ltd, Madeira Windows, DB Auto Repairs, Club Class Insurance, A&S Motors, Eastbourne Theatres, Marks & Spencer, Taylor Dain Estate Agents, La Locanda Del Duca Restaurants, Abacus Flame, Pomodoro e Mozzarella, and Town Property.

Without their generous support, these events wouldn’t be possible. And finally, I’d like to thank Eastbourne Herald’s own Juliet Mead and Annemarie Field for all their support with our events.
