Packed crowds at Horsham Remembrance Day service


It was the first time anyone could remember the crowd showing their appreciation in this way.
Following tradition, the service centred on the War Memorial with the parade arriving promptly at 10.50am.

Hide AdThe Vicar of Horsham, the Rev Canon Guy Bridgewater conducted the service, followed by the Last Post and two minutes’ silence.
The Chairman of Horsham District Council, Brian O’Connell, led the wreath-laying on behalf of the people of the Horsham District.
He was followed by David Copestake, Chairman of the Royal British Legion Horsham Branch with Horsham MP Francis Maude laying the third wreath.
Representatives of the armed services and youth organisations then laid their wreaths.
