POLICE and parking officers in Worthing have been working together to stamp out crime.

"Worthing police passed the details of the stolen vehicle through to NCP Services and within five minutes of receiving the call, they called back reporting they had found the vehicle.

"This enabled the police to recover the vehicle and allowed it to be forensically examined, thereby maximising every opportunity to bring the suspects to justice."

The parking officers also helped police recover another stolen car in Worthing, which they were then able to return to its owner.

And, when the parking officers informed police of a car which had collected several parking tickets, they were quickly able to identify it had been stolen in Worthing.

NCP Services has also been assisting the town by holding a Shopwatch radio.

They have been able to assist with several incidents in the town centre, including helping to locate a missing elderly man on behalf of his worried daughter and offering retailers serial numbers of fraudulent 20 notes.
