Part of A27 at Chichester still closed amid gas leak

Emergency services were alerted to the incident last night which caused the closure of the A27 in both directions in Chichester, between the Bognor Road roundabout and the Oving Crossroads.

People were asked to avoid the area and anyone living nearby were advised to stay inside and keep doors and windows closed.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service confirmed this morning (February 2), that the section of the road remains closed – and motorists should expect delays.
