Football coaching: Now that the school holidays are here don’t let your children miss this chance for some junior football coaching. Young people who are interested should come to the Recreation Ground on a Thursday at 6.30 (before the Peasmarsh United Team Practice) and report to Steven Buss. It will be necessary for a parent or guardian to sign a consent form.

Oliver Curd Trust : Come along to the third Oliver Curd Trust charity pamper night on September 26 at 6.30pm at the hall. This year it is in aid of B.A.C.E & The Bone Cancer Research Trust. Tickets still £3 including a glass of wine & nibbles! Will be soon announcing treatments & pamper tables attending!

Hall events: The first Quiz of the autumn will be on Saturday September 13 and the first Bingo at the hall will be on Monday September 15 at 2.30pm.

Beckley fete: Beckley Village Bank Holiday Fete and dog show will be on Monday August 25, from 1pm at the church.

Church services: This Sunday the 8am service will be at Beckley; the 10am service will be at Peasmarsh and we will be joined by the 17th Purley Scout Group.

A reminder that on Sunday August 31 there will be no 10 o’clock service at either of our churches. The congregation will be visiting Fr Martin’s church of St George’s Brede for the 9.30 morning service, as we are now all part of the same benefice. This is just a “one-off” visit and in September we shall resume our usual pattern of first and third Sundays at Peasmarsh and second and fourth Sundays at Beckley for the 10 o’clock service.
