The WI Concert at the hall last Friday evening was well attended and raised £340 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, well done ladies!

Everyone had a great time at the Quiz last Saturday evening, thanks to our Quizmaster Damien and Gina the brains behind the questions! Thanks also go to all the people behind the scenes who work to make these evenings a success. The next Quiz will be in September, date to be announced soon.

The following Bank Holiday weekend will be the Flower Festival at the church – from Saturday 24 to Monday 26. Audrey Dent 230050 will be glad to hear from anyone who can help with food, or serving in the stable, and Jenny Als 230324 will be glad of any plants, vegetables or flowers for the plant stall.

The Surrey Morris Men will be dancing in the churchyard after the Sunday service on Sunday 25. Any children who are interested in ringing handbells can come and “have a go” on the Sunday afternoon between 3.30 and 4.30.

Don’t forget to vote in the European Elections on Thursday May 22. The Polling Station which is now back at the hall is open from 7am to 10pm.

The Archive Exhibition will be held at the hall on Sunday June 1 from 11am to 4pm. Don’t miss this popular event showcasing the history of our village. The memorial Hall Management Committee will also be holding their AGM at 3pm on that day, which is open to all.

Carol Mitchell will be opening her studio once again as part of South East Open Studios art weeks which run from Friday 6 – Sunday 22 June 2014. The studio will be open each weekend during these dates on Fri/Sat/Sun between 11am and 5pm; please go along for a view, a drink and a chat! Father Martin Harper, who is now the Vicar for our combined Benefice, will be officiating at the 10 o’clock morning service at Peasmarsh this Sunday.
