The lunch club at the Memorial Hall starts up again on Monday November 4; the menu should be up by now at the hall and on the noticeboard by Brickfields. Tickets available from Jennifer Als on 230324.

The next Peasmarsh quiz will be on November 16 at the hall, teams of up to eight people, £5.50 each which includes a ploughmans supper, bring your own drinks!

The Friends of Peasmarsh Parish Church (FOPPC) would like to draw your attention to the “Scratch” performance of Part 1 of Handel’s Messiah which will be taking place in Peasmarsh Church at 4.30pm on Sunday, November 17th. Please note that this start time is half an hour later than originally advertised. For those who are singing in the choir the full rehearsal will commence at 1pm. If you would like to come and join the choir “on the day” it is not too late to register. Registration forms can be obtained from Dee Bull ([email protected]) or Jenny Als ([email protected]) . Whether you are singing or just coming to listen there will be a price of just £5 payable on the day. Richard Eldridge from Hastings will be the organist with local soloists Grace Constable, Anne Whiteman, Gary Marriott and Michael White.

Peasmarsh Christmas Fair will be at the hall on December 7 this year - Carols from the WI Choir, mulled wine and mince pies, and stalls selling a variety of gifts and decorations! If you would like to hold a stall at the Christmas Fair please let me know on 230665 - stalls cost £5 each.

The service at Peasmarsh church will be Holy Eucharist at 10am; there will be no service of Evensong this week.

Next Sunday, November 10 is Remembrance Sunday; there will be a service at Peasmarsh church at 9.45am and one at Beckley at 11.15am.
