Peasmarsh

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Christmas Fair at the pavilion last Sunday, the atmosphere was very festive and we managed to raise some more much needed money towards the hall refurbishment and other local causes. Thanks also to Yvonne, for the Christmassy music and to all those who helped to organise the event at such short notice.

Work at the hall is definitely well under way now, I’m really looking forward to seeing it completed next summer.

Already lots of Peasmarsh houses are decorated and lit up for Christmas, now it gets dark so early it’s lovely to see all the lights! Just remember that not everyone is full of Christmas spirit so make sure you lock up!

This Sunday, December 16 there will be candlelit carols in Peasmarsh Church at 7.00 in the evening. This is a simple Family Carol Service with the WI Choir and some children from the parish leading the singing. Please come and enjoy the traditional music and Christmas readings, and then some more mulled wine and mince pies afterwards. The church warms up well now, with the heating system installed some years ago thanks to the Friends of Peasmarsh Church.

There will also be a service of Holy Eucharist at 10am but no 3.30pm Evensong.
