2 The Old Hop Gardens

A reminder that the Remembrance Day service, (actually taking place on 11/11 this year) takes place at 9.45am on Sunday. Some people may wonder why it is so early. This is because we have two churches in our parish, both wishing to have a service and a ceremony at their memorials. To enable this the Peasmarsh service is held a little earlier, and the Beckley one a little later (11.15) than the traditional time.

An exercise is taking place to record and catalogue the graves in the churchyard so that visitors will be able to locate family graves more easily. If you have interesting information about an ancestor, relation or even old friend which you think should be included and does not appear on the gravestone, please contact Robin Dent on [email protected] or at Beeches, off Main Street, TN31 6SX.

Artists of the Rother Valley Christmas Art Show will be taking place at The Muddy Duck in Northiam over the weekend of November 24/25, 11am until 5pm. Entry is free, for more information visit www.rothervalleyartists.co.uk.

Not long now until Peasmarsh Flying Start Pre School hold their ‘Bella&me’ evening - Monday November 26 at the school, 7.30 - 9.30pm. Admission is only £1 on the door, which includes a free drink, all welcome. For more information please ring the Pre School on 230325 option 3.

A big thank you to Kevin and Carol for laying on another splendid free fireworks display at The Cock Inn to celebrate Bonfire Night last Saturday. Sadly this was the final time (and probably the best) that this much enjoyed event in Peasmarsh will be staged by Kevin and Carol and it will be greatly missed by all.
