Peasmarsh Place opens its gardens in aid of St Michael’s Hospice

THERE was a rare chance for people to admire the beautiful grounds of Peasmarsh Place when it opened to the public recently to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice. Set in ten acres of parkland, it was created in 1616 and was owned by the Liddell family. It was here that Charles Liddell’s niece Alice was first told the tales that would go on to be published as Alice in Wonderland.
