Peasmarsh village voice

By now you should have all received this month’s copy of the Peasmarsh Periodical which has your invitation to the Peasmarsh Jubilee Celebrations! Please remember to fill in and return the slip by May 25. There is going to be so much going on over the Jubilee weekend - the big celebration on the Recreation Ground field on the Saturday which will be opened by Baroness Stedman-Scott, the distribution of souvenir coins to the young people of the village, a fancy dress competition, Fun Dog Show, Sussex Brass will be playing, there will be dance/majorette exhibitions, Morris dancers and even dancing dogs! There will also be stalls and refreshments including a bar in the evening accompanied by local bands and Synergy Disco. I’m sure it will be a day to remember!

On the Monday, June 4, the Horse and Cart will be hosting a Traditional Family Tea Party for the Jubilee from 3-5pm with a nominal charge in aid of The Oliver Curd Trust and the Memorial Hall in their garden (inside if wet!).

This Saturday May 12 there will be a plant sale at the Memorial Hall sponsored by the East Rother Liberal Democrats from 10am-12pm - plants, cakes and refreshments available.
