Pedestrian hit by car in Eastergate

A pedestrian has been struck by a car along Barnham Road in Eastergate.

Police confirmed the collision happened at around 7pm this evening, Friday November 9.

The exact condition of anyone involved in not yet known with paramedics and an air ambulance currently assisting, though a Sussex Police spokesman said there were ‘potentially serious injuries’.

Barnham Road remained closed at 8.20pm from the Lion roundabout which joins the A29 to Fontwell and the junction linking Church Lane towards Barnham.

A number of police officers are in attendance.
