Pensioner killed in North Bersted crash

The female driver of a Nissan Micra died at St Richard's Hospital at Chichester where she had been taken following the collision.

The woman was a local resident but her identity had not been released by the police yesterday.

The crash occurred at 12.15pm last Fridaywhen the Micra was in collision with a Peugeot 106 in Charlcraft Lane.

The driver of the Peugeot was unhurt.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation Conway.
