Then one of these dogs at Raystede, in Ringmer, could be the perfect match for you!
The animal rescue, in Ringmer, near Lewes, is hoping to find forever homes for the pups below.
The charity says adopting through a rehoming centre can take a little extra time and patience, but the rewards are worth it.
All photos and information come from Raystede.

5. Morty - one-year-old Saluki
Morty is an affectionate and playful dog who enjoys his walks and would like a good sized garden to zoom around in! Morty will need a kind, supportive home as he goes through adolescence. He can struggle with being left so he would prefer a home with company. He is friendly with people and other dogs - he could live with another pooch if suitably matched. Morty could not live with cats or small animals as he will chase. Photo: Raystede

6. Ruby - two year old Lurcher
Ruby is a friendly, bouncy girl who is just so excited about life, Raystede has said. She will need to be the only pet in the home and could live with older teenagers. Ruby requires training in her new home and her adopters will be supported in learning skills to manage Ruby's frustrated behaviours around other dogs, as she can bark and lunge. She loves to learn and is very playful, she would love a large garden to zoom around in, and it must be secure, with high fencing, as she can easily jump 6ft . She would like a home with owners who are around often to keep her company. Photo: Raystede

7. Loki - three-year-old English Cocker Spaniel
Enquiries are open again for Loki, who is still under vet care to investigate and form a long term treatment plan. This will likely be on-going so vet costs must be considered if wishing to adopt him. However, Raystede says he is a super dog with lots of potential! He is a high energy pup and can be very vocal. He doesn't like being left alone so would be best suited to a home where his family is around often. Although he is social with other dogs, he may need to be only pooch in the home, but he has lived with cats. He is good with children and could live with older teenagers who can get involved with his training and understand his nutritional needs. Photo: Raystede

8. Luna - one-year-old Sprocker
Luna is a youngster who will need an understanding and patient home. She has a lot of energy but can be cautious. Luna is social with other dogs, but wary, so may be able to live with a suitable match, and may also be able to live with older, confident children. She will need her own secure, private garden.
