Summer might be on its way out, but there’s lot to look forward to with the imminent arrival of autumn.
And with that comes the possibility of gorgeous autumnal walks in the stunning Sussex countryside.
We’ve come up with this list of some of our favourite spots to stretch your legs as crisper weather starts to arrive.
This list is by no means exhaustive, so feel free to share your favourites with us, too.

The 11-mile Cuckoo Trail runs from Polegate to Heathfield and has a three mile extension to Shinewater Park, Eastbourne. It passes through some of the district's most beautiful countryside and looks resplendent in autumn. Photo: Wealden District Council

6. Tilgate Park
It might not look it in this snap, but when autumn hits Tilgate Park is a riot of colour. Reds, oranges, yellows ill the trees to give the whole park a golden hue. Photo: Google Maps

7. Southwater Country Park
Southwater Country Park in Horsham, West Sussex, is a safe bet for the whole family this autumn. With lots of autumnal colour, plus the excellent Dinosaur Island play park, it's a great spot for a walk and some fun. Photo: Pic S Robards SR2111271
