Plans to demolish a Bognor Regis house and replace it with a terrace of three have been resurrected.

Permission was granted in 2006 to replace 9 Victoria Road South with three homes but never went ahead.

Now an application has been made to Arun District Council to tear down the two storey house and replace it with three three storey town houses with off street parking.

A planning statement by Sussex Building Consultancy Limited said there would be new vehicular access and off street parking for each unit.

The current property has been extended at the back with two reception rooms, a kitchen, an entrance porch, a shower room and an integral garage, four bedrooms, a bathroom and WC and an enclosed balcony from one bedroom.

"This application effectively represents a resubmission of a very similar scheme that was approved planning permission in 2006 but was not built," the statement said.

The area has high density large two and three storey buildings, mostly housing apartments, it continued, and is in the Aldwick Road Conservation Area.

The plans were in accordance with policy and were in a sustainable area.

"It is our view that the proposal would represent an acceptable form of development and would not cause demonstrable harm to the residential amenities of any neighbouring property by way of overbearing effect, loss of privacy or loss of light," the statement said.

"The proposal will provide a high quality, sustainable development which will set a positive benchmark for the area."
