These are the dogs currently up for adoption at a Sussex animal rescue charity.

Arundawn Dog Rescue is based near Horsham.

The charity focuses largely on providing rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for strays from across the country who are sadly facing euthanasia through no fault of their own.

The adorable dogs below are all looking for loving homes in Sussex and beyond.

Maggie is a delightful and happy girl who is looking for a active home. She would love a family who enjoy walks and getting out and about. She is good with other dogs so could share a home with a friend but would be equally happy to be an only pet, according to the rescue. She cannot be rehomed with cats. Maggie is described as a 'bright and engaging dog' and is doing well in foster after being found as a stray. She loves to play and do zoomies with her canine friends.

Jenny is a sweet girl looking for a home in the countryside with at least one other friendly dog. She arrived at Arundawn heavily pregnant and has been busy over the last 12 weeks looking after her pups - who are now also looking for their forever homes. Jenny previously had a very sheltered life so she is a bit nervous of new situations. However, Arundawn says she is a very friendly, gregarious girl when meeting new people. She is anxious around small children and has not been tested with cats.

She needs an active family in a rural location as she needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation.She has been around children aged over seven and is friendly with every person she meets, Arundawn said. ​Sadly, she has had a few homes already and has some separation anxiety, which her foster carers are working on. Her new family will need to continue her training. She cannot be homed with cats.

He has been described by Arundawn as 'a loveable oaf' who can be a bit much for other dogs, despite being friendly. He could live by himself or with another big, calm and friendly dog following careful introductions. Bear can be an anxious boy and will follow his people around the house as he doesn't like to be on his own. He is very affectionate and loves attention. Arundawn says Bear is gentle with children and enjoys their company. He has not been assessed with cats.
