Arundawn Dog Rescue, based in Horsham, focuses largely on providing rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for strays from across the country who are sadly facing euthanasia through no fault of their own.

She can be reactive to other dogs but this is fear-based - she has has a difficult and 'unsettled' time recently, the rescue said. Due to this, she may not be able to live with another dog, unless the resident dog was a young male and well-suited. The rescue added: "This dog is simply gorgeous and in the right home will shine - she deserves a chance."

She can be reactive to other dogs but this is fear-based - she has has a difficult and 'unsettled' time recently, the rescue said. Sam is a friendly boy who is looking for a calm family and can live alongside another dog - preferably female. He's a gentle, curious boy who can be a little shy on meeting new people but soon warms up. The poor pup is terrified of fireworks and loud noises, which are particularly scary to him in the kennels, therefore he is desperately looking for a home, or at least a foster carer. He is sadly losing a lot of weight due to the stress of being in kennels. ​Arundawn said his new owner will need to help him 'find his feet'. He has not been tested around cats or small animals so cannot live alongside them.

18. Sam - six-year-old Collie cross Whippet

Felix is 'an absolute sweetheart' who is looking for his forever home. He will need an active home with at least one other dog. His foster carer said there will be a settling in period 'where he comes to terms with his environment' but the result will be 'well worth it'. He is a big loveable lump who walks well on the lead but you will also need to be able to control him if a squirrel or cat is seen! Ideally he would be suited to an active household (as he loves long walks) where someone is about most of the time. ​

19. Felix - 18 month old Lurcher
